Project Description

MEnD Consulting was engaged by AECOM to conduct Level 3 Bridge Inspections on several pedestrian and traffic bridges including:

• Mill Point Road overpass
• Hardy Street pedestrian overpass
• Thelma Street pedestrian overpass
• Cale Street pedestrian overpass
• Edgewater Road pedestrian overpass

Solution Execution

• Produced five comprehensive Level 3 Bridge Inspection reports to budget and on schedule
• Inspections were completed using a variety of in-situ NDT techniques including GPR scanning
• A total of 119 concrete core samples were secured for the purpose of chloride content analysis, carbonation penetration depth measurement, and compressive strength testing
• Works were completed on active bridges and using various access techniques including EWP
