MEnD Consulting was engaged by Pindan to complete the cathodic protection performance monitoring and operations for the current impressed cathodic protection system protecting the High Level Bridge that provides road access to Fleet Base West located on Garden Island, WA.
Pindan chose MEnD because of our detailed understanding of the system and our considered experience with reinforced concrete cathodic protection.
MEnD engineers were also engaged to complete the defects liability inspections and rectification works on behalf of Pindan. MEnD’s understanding of the site and the unique project conditions meant that the works were completed efficiently and cost effectively while not compromising the overall outcome for the asset owners.
Solution Execution
- Cathodic Protection performance monitoring for a complex impressed current system incorporating 18 individually controlled zones.
- Practical and cost effective resolution of defect liability period works.
- Rope access was successfully used to complete works at the soffit of the bridge, saving the client significant costs.
